Sherri Jones

Sherri has worked in the Internet Technology industry for over 15 years. She manages Techie Kids' day-to-day operations, overseeing development, supervision and the expansion of Techie Kids programs in South Florida partner organizations and schools. She is currently in the process of designing special projects just for program participants wherein the children can showcase their tech and media creations to family and friends.

Prior to Techie Kids, Sherri used her skills as a writer, web content manager and entrepreneur to start her own successful marketing and promotions company. Her past successes include communications director for a nonprofit catering to the needs of at-risk girls; director of marketing for an event management company; and creative director of an online beauty magazine. Sherri earned her bachelor's degree in Communications with a focus in radio, television and film from Howard University in Washington, DC.

As founder and Executive Director of Techie Kids, Sherri is passionate about creating fun, engaging and interactive career considerations and out-of-the-box partner workshops for kids as well as cultivating great relationships with partners, sponsors, facilitators, volunteers and friends of Techie Kids.
